Congregational Overview:
We are a church that regularly sees about 100 people in worship each Sunday set in a rural community in Southwest Idaho. We are closely connected to the Mountain Home Air Force Base (about 10 miles away), and serve a small number of active duty service members and a decent amount of retired military personnels from all branches of military service. Pastor Trent Friberg came to serve as Lead Pastor in December of 2019.
Our youth group is comprised of about 30 students, with average attendance on youth group nights around ten students. The previous youth pastor was called to her next place of ministry and departed in May of 2024. Since that time, a highly committed group of youth staff volunteers have helped to bridge the gap over the summer by attending camps, planning and running youth group, adding summer events, and following up personally with students.
Our worship ministry is currently staffed by a number of volunteer worship leaders, as well as musicians, vocalists, and technicians. Our music is mostly contemporary music led by either guitar or piano. We have a rotating set of people who operate our sound board and lyrics display computer. We stream our services live on Facebook and post an edited version of our services on our YouTube channel.
Our church ministry staff is comprised of our Lead Pastor (FT), an Associate Pastor of Care Ministries (PT), a Children's Director (PT), and an office administrator (PT). We also employ a part-time janitor. Our church is completely debt-free and we own a shuttle bus for transportation to/from events. We are located approximately one hour from Northwest Nazarene University, enabling us fairly easy access to campus for events, conferences, and other continuing education opportunities.
